HOW CAN EARO IMPROVE YOUR PERFORMANCE
Earo sets a new standard in seating for orchestral musicians. By ergonomically accommodating and enhancing their posture it creates the optimum conditions for excellent performance.
“Musicians suffer for their Art, but unnecessary suffering inhibits Art.’’ Dr. Gearóid Ó Conchubhair, Industrial Designer and Design Educator.
Three key principles are incorporated in earo; together they promote a balanced seated posture for you, the musician. This optimizes the playing experience, even during long hours of rehearsal and performance. And, it helps to minimize the negative physical impact of the craft.
THE 3 KEY PRINCIPLES
earo provides an adjustable and elevated seat height which enables relaxed breathing, by raising the pelvis above the line of the knees. The chair ensures a stable seat base from which the musician is correctly poised for fluid movements while feeling grounded.
earo orchestra chair facilitates an open posture when seated. This in turn allows for a more dynamic attitude when seated during performance. The seat angle can be altered easily to suit specific playing needs of individual musicians.
The sculpted form of the seat provides for neutral postural control. The sit-bones are correctly located on the rear portion of the seat ensuring forward pelvic rotation. It promotes a positive lumbar curve in the lower spine and enhance core stability reducing stress on the body.
DESIGNED TO PERFORM
Performance is influenced by ability, experience, fitness, concentration, emotional triggers, even by recent events. But it is also significantly influenced by posture and easy movement. It is here that the earo chair was designed to make a difference.
